Marcela Manubens is the founder of Atelier Manubens. She is a multidisciplinary artist, ceramicist and designer - Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). She resides in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut.
"As a multidisciplinary artist, my work is grounded in color, medium and thoughtful experimentation. I create organic forms, sculptures and paintings alongside everyday objects like hand-painted majolica tiles and flower bowls - pieces that bring joy into daily life. Years working across cultures, combined with a deep reverence for historical artistic figures and traditions, informed how I see creativity - as a shared language that moves across time and cultures, connecting us to those quiet moments that make us human.
Drawing from my designer persona, I also create children's art for their rooms and nurseries, encouraging young ones to observe object and color and encourage them to see creativity as something playful and accessible. Ultimately, my goal is to bring joy and inspire a vibrant and engaged future."
