Signs from The Universe
In a time marked by uncertainty, Signs From The Universe encourages viewers to challenge their own notions of spirituality and to consider the relationship between universe and connection. Ultimately, the exhibition positions the artist as an active agent, an ambassador of culture and change.
Opening Reception Friday, Feb 27 6-8pm
Show runs Feb 27th through April 10th
Signs From The Universe explores luck, anomalies, and outliers in pursuit of understanding what draws the art out of the artist. The exhibition considers the artist as a cipher, decoding signs from the universe and translating them onto canvas, while examining the idea of the artist as medium. The works presented are both methodical and vulnerable, operating in a space between intention and reception.
Echo is central to the framework of the show. The concept of receiving and responding to reverberation rather than isolation shapes the exhibition’s structure. Meaning is not fixed; it is reflected and rearticulated. In this way, the exhibition foregrounds exchange as a mode of understanding.
Spirituality functions here not as doctrine but as inquiry. Signs From The Universe seeks to understand the nature of luck through the lens of spirituality, while questioning the artist’s greater purpose. It considers dualities, physical and spiritual, material and symbolic and invites viewers to reflect on their relationship to connection, chance, and belief.
The Stairwell Space provides a resonant setting for this exploration. A stairwell suggests progression and articulation, and its natural reverb reinforces the exhibition’s emphasis on echo. Light also plays a defining role within the space, shaping perception and heightening awareness.
In a time marked by uncertainty, Signs From The Universe encourages viewers to challenge their own notions of spirituality and to consider the relationship between universe and connection. Ultimately, the exhibition positions the artist as an active agent, an ambassador of culture and change.
