This annual event is a great opportunity to see what your favorite local contemporary artists are working on right now and support the creative community.

New Collector? Here’s What You Need to Know About Open Studios

If you’re passionate about art but have never attended an Open Studios event before, you might not know what to expect. The American Fabrics Art Building is home to more than a dozen working artists – you can see the full roster here– who work in a variety of mediums and styles. Whether you love classic landscape painting or cutting-edge abstract work, you’ll be sure to find what you’re looking for.

What makes Open Studios so special is the opportunity to meet with local artists directly. Many of our resident artists maintain a very busy schedule – travelling to work and teach – but they make a point of being on scene for Open Studios because it’s a valuable opportunity to connect with the community. The relationships that form between artists and art lovers are vitally important; adding a layer of depth and meaning to the creative process. Many of the people who have attended Open Studios over the years have told us they’ve truly enjoyed discovering new artists and visiting with their favorite creators.

Plan on having a great time. There’s going to be live music, great food, and lots of laughter. Open Studios is a great event to attend with your friends – it’s fun to catch up with your favorite people while seeing a dazzling variety of artwork created by truly talented professionals. Additionally, the event is family and pet friendly, as well as elevator and handicap accessible.
