Thomas Mezzonotte’s photographs are truly like nothing else you’ve ever seen before. This is because
Mezzonotte, who trained at the University of Bridgeport and has spent the past 35+ years as a working
art photographer, has a very unique process. He captures his images using cameras and photographic
mediums he creates himself.

Richard Killeaney is a man in motion. His American Fabric Arts Building studio echoes with the sounds of
pressing, cutting and sewing as he creates gorgeous quilts, pillows, bags and more using luxurious
repurposed fabrics. Richard’s work makes an impressive artistic statement and has been featured in
numerous shows, most recently the New British Museum of Art. 

At only six years old, Lesley Koenig knew she was going to be an artist. A positive day spent with her watercolors led to an eventual design scholarship; Koenig studied at Parson’s, and earned several awards during her subsequent design and illustration career. A move to Southwestern Connecticut saw Koenig return to her painting. Her focus is a spontaneous process of abstract expressionism. Koenig also includes abstracted realism of land and sea as subject matter; as she is deeply touched by the extraordinary beauty of the CT gold coast. What we love about Lesley’s work is the fearlessness of it. There’s an energy and luminosity of her work that commands the attention; the eye is drawn and the intellect driven to inquiry. Pictured are two diptychs and a triptych being installed at Rockwell Art and Framing, Ridgefield.  Her solo reception is August 11 and the exhibition will run through mid-September.

Susan Newbold is an artist, painter and printmaker who captures the beauty of the natural world with a knowing eye. She began this stage of her creative career after working in the interior design and architectural field.  Susan trained at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston before completing her MFA at the Vermont College. Today, the Atlantic Ocean stands as her most constant inspiration; Newbold makes her home not far from the shore and much of her work features an Eastern marine palette.

Kvon Behpour is an award winning commercial photographer. Over the course of a 20+ year career, he has worked with record labels, top brands, and many of Connecticut’s finest advertising agencies. Kvon emigrated to the US from Iran as a young man, becoming a citizen in 1990. He has been able to return to Iran for three extended photo expeditions, including one journey to help the victims of the devastating 2003 Bam earthquake.

Roxanne Faber Savage is an award winning multidisciplinary artist. She specializes in printmaking, creating simple yet arresting visual narratives on a variety of media, including paper, metal and silk. In addition to the printmaking, Savage is a painter, photographer, and installation artist.

When he is in Connecticut, Hans Neleman is a painter and producer of assemblages – complex, colorful multi-media pieces rich in symbolism. In New York, Neleman is a highly sought after commercial photographer, whose portfolio includes work done for Nike, Levis and Sony Style. In 2007, Neleman founded the WIN Initiative, a stock photography company with a global aesthetic sensibility.

Judith’s paintings remind us in one sense of the Lascaux cave paintings. There’s an ancient knowing in her work: with bold lines and confident color choices she evokes the essential nature of her subject in a timeless and enduring fashion.

The range of Linn Cassetta’s work is breathtaking. She trained in fashion at the Rhode Island School of Design and completed her studies by earning her Masters at Royal College of Art. She earned early acclaim for her apparel and shoe designs.

Valites is a photographer and installation artist who creates complex, emotionally charged works that combine a sophisticated approach to imagery with the insightful use of space and sound.

Crystal Heiden’s work defies easy categorization. The idea of motion is expressed through a variety of media, including sculpture, drawing, photography, video and installation works.
